The JUNE Weekday Walk will be on WEDNESDAY 24th and will be a return walk up to the Meikle Bin (570m) in the Campsies.
We'll meet at the Todholes car park on the B818 at 10am for the start of the walk ....

Going through the gate at the car park, we'll follow the forestry track for about 2km until we cross a bridge and turn left at the junction. Following the track uphill we'ill continue straight on until a small cairn on the left marks where we leave the forestry track and head uphill to the summit of Meilkle Bin 570m (5.2km, 380m ascent). In clear weather we should have views across central Scotland from the Clyde to the Forth including over Glasgow.
The return will probably be by the uphill route, although an alternative descent through the forest (often muddy) is possible.
The total route distance is about 10.4km with around 410m of ascent, and likely time of 3-4 hours.
