Weekend Trip to Newtonmore from
Friday 13 to Sunday 15 November 2026
Main maps required is LandRanger 35 Kingussie & Monadhliath Mountains,
but you may need others if walking further afield.
Newtonmore is easily accessible from the A9 and about 2hrs 15mins drive from Glasgow. There is plenty of walking in the area with Glen Feshie, the Monadhliath Mountains and the Cairngorms National Park all within easy reach.
At present there is still plenty of accommodation in the town itself, and it is proposed to stay at The Glen Hotel (£240 for two nights) as it has proved popular on previous Club trips.
Please let me know when you have booked your accommodation and I'll try to coordinate car sharing or room sharing as required.
At the moment it looks unlikely that I'll be able to attend due to commitments immediately before and after the weekend, but I'm sure that everyone will be able to coordinate their activities once they arrive on the Friday night.
