Weekend Trip to the Kinlochewe area

The May weekend trip is to the Kinlochewe area and the proposed accommodation is at the Loch Maree Hotel on the A832 between Kinlochewe and Gairloch. At the time of writing, rooms were available, but other accommodation in the area includes various B&Bs and the Kinlochewe Hotel or the Gairloch Hotel.
There are many walking possibilities in the area, including the Torridon mountains and the Beinn Eighe National Nature Reserve .. also see Walkhighlands.
Other options include a visit to the beautiful Inverewe Gardens (NTS with a café) or a boat trip from Gairloch.
There are early plans for a group excursion to the Beinn Eighe NNR and the track that leads up to Leathad Buidhe from the car park on the shores of Loch Maree .. a route description can be found here. For those that are feeling a bit more energetic, the route can be extended to the summit of the Corbett, Meall a’ Ghiubhais.
