Weekday Walks

The SEPTEMBER Weekday Walk will be on WEDNESDAY 25th with a route along the River Clyde and a crossing of the new Partick Bridge.

** Please note the change of date from the Thursday originally noted in the Outings Programme **

We'll meet outside Costa Coffee in Central Station at 10.30am (w3w: ///pipe.castle.cost) .. so no need for anyone to drive on this one!

The new bridge across the River Clyde from Partick to Govan is due to open on 9th September. This walk will take us along the north side of the river from near Central Station as far as the Riverside Museum, then across the new bridge. We'll then follow the path along the south side of the river, passing by the Science Museum. We can have a short stop at the café there, or sit outside if the weather is favourable.

We'll then continue following the riverside until we reach the suspension bridge which crosses over the river near Glasgow Green, before heading back towards Central Station.

The estimated walk length is about 7 miles with negligible ascent and should take us about 3 hours .. there are several options to shorten the walk if the weather is poor!

After the walk we could head to a local hostelry for a refreshment .. possibly the Pot Still at 154 Hope Street.

Please let me know by Tuesday 24th September if you would like to attend.
