The next outing of the Weekday Walkers will be to the Lang Craigs and Doughnot Hill in the Kilpatricks on WEDNESDAY 2 OCTOBER .. a week later than usual!
We'll meet at Overtoun House at the top of the Milton Brae off the A82 east of Dumbarton (G82 2SH for satnavs) at 10am .. click either pic for a map of how to get there .. where there's plenty of parking available.
If anyone requires a lift, or to car share, please let me know and I'll arrange to meet at the Linn Park Golf Course Car Park in Simshill Road (corner of Linnview Avenue .. G44 5EP for satnavs) at 9am.
We'll head back down the Milton Brae and turn eastwards for Greenland Farm, then take the track up to Black Linn Reservoir. We'll cross the dam and ascend Doughnot Hill to its trig point at 374m. We'll then head southwestwards and traverse the Lang Craigs at high level before descending and returning to Overtoun House.
Distance is about 12 km there and back, with a total ascent of about 300m .. likely time is 3-4 hours ....
Post-walk refreshments could be taken at the Stonefield (Crown Carvery) in Milton if required ...
