The MAY Weekday Walk will be on WEDNESDAY 29th with an ascent of Barony Hill (320m) near Dailly just northeast of Girvan.
The meeting point is at 10.30am in the main square in the village of Dailly, on the B741 road from the A77 just north of Girvan, where parking is available. The driving route is M77/A77 to the B741 turnoff just before the town of Girvan.

We'll start by taking the road past the church and on to a minor road, passing Balcamie and on to Whitehill Farm. From there we'll take the track that leads to the summit of Barony Hill. We'll descend NW down a track to Glengee Wood, then follow the path through the wood and on a road to find the path beside the Water of Girvan. We'll follow the path crossing a couple of bridges before returning to Dailly.

The distance is about 11km or 6.75mls, with about 310m of ascent and likely time of 3-3.5 hours
