The next Weekday Walk will be on THURSDAY 24 JUNE for a visit to the Kilpatrick Hills .. we'll climb its highest hill Duncolm (401m) and enjoy a circuit of Burncrooks Reservoir.
We'll meet at Edenmill Farm Shop car park at 10.30am ...

We'll follow the John Muir Way eastwards up the minor road, passing the Water Works buildings marked "S" on the sketch map below, and through a gate onto open land.
Where the JMW turns towards Burncrooks Reservoir, we'll go straight ahead on the forest track which eventually comes to an end and continues as a path .. Duncolm is ahead. We'll head
out of the forest, through the gate and follow the path which winds up to the summit.
We'll return past Lily Loch to meet the JMW path beside the reservoir .. this section could be boggy! .. then cross the dam and head westwards back to Edenmill.
The total distance is probably 11km (7 miles) with about 240m of ascent, and will probably take around 4 hours.
Post-walk refreshments can probably be taken at the Farm Shop Cafe if required ....

If you're going on this walk, please let me know by Wednesday 23rd June so that I know who to expect ..!
