The FEBRUARY Weekday Walk will be on WEDNESDAY 28th with an ascent of Dungavel Hill (457m) south of Strathaven.
The meeting point is at 10am at the entrance to the forest and windfarm on the B743 south of Strathaven near Dungavel House. There is space to park 4 or 5 cars without blocking the entrance.

The walk is on good tracks up through the forest then past the wind turbines, with a short climb on a path to the summit trig point at 457m. We'll return by the outward route.

The distance is about 10.2km or 6.4mls, with about 200m of ascent and likely time of 2-2.5 hours
After the walk we could visit the Heron Farm Shop & Kitchen for a refreshment before heading for home. It is about 10mins drive away on the Ardochrig Road.
