This is now a past outing .. you can read about it soon!
The APRIL Weekday Walk will be on WEDNESDAY 30th and will be a return to the Greenock Cut last visited in May 2021.
We'll meet at the car park at the Greenock Cut Visitor Centre at 10am and start from there .. please note that there is no longer access to the Visitor Centre from the A78 Inverkip road, and you will need to drive around Loch Thom for access.

Leaving the Visitor Centre, we'll follow the circular route clockwise, following the water channel round and above Gourock and Greenock.
Hopefully there will be great views across the Clyde to the Argyll and Bute hills and the Arrochar Alps. After about 8km we'll turn eastward for a short ascent back to Loch Thom and return to the Visitor Centre.
There is the option of adding in a short ascent of Dunrod Hill for those seeking a more elevated viewpoint.

The route in total is about 11.5km with around 180m of ascent, and a likely time of 2.5-3 hours.
There are toilets at the Visitor Centre, and there's a small cafe at the adjacent fishery.
If you would like to go on this walk please let me know by Monday 28th April.
