This trip will be by CAR POOL, leaving the Glasgow area around 8.00am. I hope to organise travel arrangements prior to the day .. to avoid meeting up at Cathcart .. so please let me know if you intend coming along, and your travel plans.
Travel will be by the M74/M73/M80 and Clackmannanshire Bridge to Tillicoultry, so if anyone requires picking up en route or plans to travel direct to Tillicoultry, let me know ....
We'll meet in the Tilly Tearoom just after the 09.00 opening time where we can finalise walking plans for the day. (The tearoom is at 10a Bank Street, Tillicoultry, FK13 6DP behind the old Clydesdale Bank.)
After the walk we'll meet at the Woolpack Inn for the usual refreshments before heading home.
Ben Cleuch (721m) and Andrew Gannel Hill (670m)
Park in Upper Mill Street (GR 914974) and take the path into Mill Glen. Continue up the glen and cross a wooden bridge to start the steep ascent of the Law (638m). From the top follow the fence N then WNW to Ben Cleuch. From the summit retrace the ascent route to pick up the fence heading ENE to Andrew Gannel Hill. From there descend E to pick up the path on the south side of the Gannel Burn and follow it back to the start point.
