Weekend Trip to the Strathcarron area

Porobable maps required are LandRanger 24 Raasay & Applecross and 25 Glen Carron & surrounding area,
but you may need others if you're walking further afield.

For the May weekend trip, we'll be based in Lochcarron, or nearby, to give access to not only the Strathcarron and Torridon hills but also the Applecross peninsula.
As for other recent weekend trips, members are asked to make their own accommodation bookings.
The Lochcarron Hotel (01520 722226) is a good option and had availability at the time of writing .. £280 for a double room.
The Strathcarron Hotel (01520 722227) is 3.5 miles away from Lochcarron and also had availability at a similar cost.
There are also a number of guest houses and B&Bs to choose from in the area.
