Weekend Trip to Drumnadrochit from
Friday 11 to Sunday 13 July 2025
Main map required is LandRanger 26 Inverness & Strathglass area,
but you may need others if walking further afield.
The July weekend is to Drumnadrochit on the shores of Loch Ness and gives access to various walking areas, including Glen Affric and Glen Strathfarrar .. the Affric Kintail Way and The Great Glen Way also pass through the town.
We last visited Drumnadrochit in September 2022 when we stayed in the Loch Ness Backpackers Lodge.
It is already difficult to find one hotel or guest house that has several rooms available at reasonable prices. Given the location and time of year, this is not surprising.
The Loch Ness Backpackers Lodge and the Loch Ness Bunk Inn had double rooms availabile at the time of writing, as did several hotels, guest houses and B&Bs.
